DRONE & AERIAL DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY BY: 4ROTOR FILMS
4Rotor Filming is the aerial media production division of The Applegate Group, a full-service film and video production company based in Manhattan. 4Rotor is dedicated to producing high quality, HD video and still photography utilizing radio-controlled aircraft and image stabilization equipment.
Joe Keeney, DP, is a licensed commercial pilot which means he meets all pending Federal Aviation Administration rules for operating drones with cameras. Our remote-controlled aircrafts are lightweight, nimble, battery-powered and extremely cost-effective to operate.
Commercials, features and documentary projects can add spectacular aerial shots by booking our experienced production team. Drones fly like a helicopter with vertical flight powered by multiple electric motors.Through the use of our compact, unmanned aerial platforms and our steady-cams we are able to go from ground level up to 400 feet with forward speeds of 30+mph.
Our cameras shoot up to 4K with 24-30 fps. We can also produce HD/16 mp photographs. This allows us to capture angles that are nearly impossible with manned aircraft. Our remote-controlled aircraft are equipped with GPS, providing the ability to hold altitude, longitude and latitude-compensating wind while holding in a fixed position in flight.
The Applegate Group is happy to welcome Roxy Summers to the team! As an spectacular event producer and entertainment promoter, Roxy has already proved herself invaluable as a production assistant on the Icarus Stops for Breakfast short film shoot last month. (She did hair, make-up and assisted Nick Do, our audio engineer. She is our social media and marketing guru–she designed this newsletter). Roxy is promoting our team and services across the world.
